A day that worked....

Really well....

Barkley couldn't wait to
go outside....

He knew what that meant....
a tennis ball and bliss...

He is a focused subject...
so photographing him was not going to be
difficult.

He was more than willing to have his mom
brush his coat....
and what a coat it is....
just beautiful!

and he loves to RUN!

how could one resist focus like this?

he is intent on capturing the ball asap!

he even poses so that tennis ball would be thrown again...
I love that, too bad it doesn't work with people...

He is not a show off,
but knows how to put his best side toward the camera.

He is even willing to share the spotlight....
who says he is man's best friend?
I would argue that he is definitely a woman's best bud!

And
once tired....
he was willing to allow a bit of a
semi-natural pose for that silly lady with the
camera.

And finally....
the perfect shot!
I cannot tell you how excited I get
when I see images appear
as I download my camera's images.
And
when I saw this one....
well,
I just knew I had a little help with
this one.....isn't it perfect?

Meet the grandchildren....

Top; Buddy
Below; Roxy

I know.....
they are dogs.
Well, when you have no grandchildren......yet,
this will have to do.
I have taken care of these two for the last week.
Their dad, my son, has been to the shore.
So......
I have had long blissful mornings,
sitting out in their backyard,
listening to the wind blow through the trees,
the birds chirping merrily as they teach their babies to fly,
and watching these two steal rawhide bones from each other.
Well,......
it may not be human grandchildren,
but feeding was easy,
clean up was quick,
and
no diapers.....
Yep just about perfect.

Buddy and Roxy...

This is Buddy,
he is a good dog...
he knows how to pose for a photo.
he likes to have his tummy rubbed.
Good Buddy!
This is Roxy
she is a wild woman (dog)
she runs around faster than her little legs can
actually carry her...
we don't know how she does it.
She likes to have her human servants throw this ball.
Run Roxy Run!

This is a stunning flower that lives outside of
Buddy and Roxy's reach.
Good Flower.

This is a beautiful bed of professionally manicured flowers
that someone pays a lot of money to have bloom
and re-plant, when the blooms fade,
as they always do....
I prefer dogs.
