As I lay in bed...
blowing my sinus dry...
There was this racket outside my bedroom window...
Not being well...
at first I thought it was just my head pounding...
then..
nope that's not the rhythm of my brain...
not even when it's sick..
So..
I crawled out of bed,
pulled on my bathrobe,
pulled away the curtains..
Not a lot to look at..
Fog, get the camera...
when I reuturned...
I thought I caught a glimpse of...
I did...
I did taw a puddy tat...
Opps...(that was Tweety-bird, channeling)
Actually, I saw just a tad-bit of red...
then...
a better view...
he was not 15 feet outside my bedroom window....
so I pulled up a chair, not feeling 100%...
and waited for more.
He did not disappoint...
what a gift...
That made my day just a bit better...
and this morning,
while I didn't have the same visitor,
I did have a gift from my sweetie.
A gift of some medicine, that
has made all the difference
today...
smiles.
HI Emom
ReplyDeleteOh my oh my what beautiful photography!!! And what a sweet little guy this is.. I get quite a bit of bird life outside my window .. but mostly Australian natives.. magpies, rosellas and sometime cockatoos..
That first shot is just gorgeous and reminds me of our Jacaranda tree in winter...
Thanks for popping by.. for all my fussiness with coffee.. i'm pretty lazy about it at home.. i bought a cheap machines but it only takes nespresso coffee which i am not thrilled with.. haha
Hope you feel better soon.... Coffee dries the sinuses out!!!
OH MY GOSH!!!! What awesome photos! Aren't they just dapper with their splash of red!! They're artists, you know...some would say percussionists. And artists always have a splash of something.

Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe have woodpeckers around our house sporadically, and they ARE quite noisy. Especially when they peck on the metal fireplace flashing during mating season!
What a beautiful bird!
ReplyDeletethey are my one of my favorite birds, although not when they knock on my house! have you ever seen a Pileated Woodpecker? Awesome bird!
