TGIF!!

What a week!

Things are so much better today....

the promise of tomorrow,

and 

hope....

Now

back 

to 

work....

I have been working 

(as focused as I am capable of)

Ever have one of those days?

You know the type....

the one

where you wake up at 2:57am and 

cannot go back to sleep?

the one

where you are having your first cup o' joe

and you hear something odd in the bathroom 

down in the guest room?

AND

it turns out to be a sewage back up?

the one 

where you are afraid to take a shower and make the 

sewer back up worse.....so you go down to your office

and start on much delayed work......and 

(wait for it....)

you notice that the floor under your desk is damp?

No, ....make that soaking wet?

(thank goodness it wasn't sewage)

Rain coming in from the other side of the foundation wall!

You know, the one that was taken completely back to the studs

JUST LAST YEAR...

water proofing (?) painted on the cider blocks, Drywall replaced, 

interior paint whole room, new shoe molding.....

ALL WET......

the one

where you go to get your handy dandy carpet cleaner 

to SUCK up the water out of the carpet in your office,

and EVERY SINGLE CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT BOX

is between you and the carpet cleaner....

the one 

where you finally get the carpet cleaner out of the closet

and start the SUCKING of water.....

and after emptying the reservoir several times

it doesn't seem to be getting any drier?

Yeah....

that's the day I have been having.

I think I will go take a nap...
